Integrated Family Health Center,Pangappara is an urban primary health training centre
under Government Medical College Thiruvananthapuram offering primary care services catering to a population of 1.5 lakhs across 11 wards under Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, with 11 Health and Wellness Centres.

The facility has stood out due to the quality of health care services delivered and the community participation involved in making the institution accessible, affordable, and acceptable through a wide range of public health activities. Now the centre is providing 24-hour primary health care services with an 8-bedded inpatient facility.

In addition, it offers an academic platform for the training of students in various sections of the medical field including MBBS, MD, MS, BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing, BSc MLT, optometrist, pharmacology courses etc. The doctors at the institution constitute Government service doctors through DHS, LSGD and postgraduate doctors posted from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.

MCH unit Pangappara offers its beneficiaries promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative care through its clinical and community activities empowering people in all stages of life to attain optimum health. Thus, it aims to ensure higher standards in health care, community health services, medical education, and research activities.
